This is similar to the story that Putin often repeats about when he chased a large rat around the "dvor" courtyard in the housing project he grew up in. He was thrilled to corner the rat and thought he won. Then the rat attacked him and he realized that cornering an enemy can actually put you at greater risk.
As Israel looks to the left and right and sees no allies next to her and an enemy blocking her, she has no choice but to lunge at the enemy. Anyone who expects a different outcome does not understand international politics.
Israel cannot defeat Iran and they aren't trying to. They're trying to defeat Hamas. Whether they can do that or not is a different question.
Israel is by far a superior military force compared to Iran. Iran is funding Hamas and Israel has no illusions about the head of this snake.
What does this even mean? Sure, Israel can evade Iran's air defenses and bomb some strategic targets there. But Israel has no ability to "destroy" Iran.
Israel can’t even destroy Hamas or Hezbollah let alone Iran. They want us to destroy Iran.
Well let’s see, Iran is the only country where the destruction of the state of Israel is literally in their constitution and a stated goal of their government … despite that, the country/government that would be the happiest if the US “destroyed” Iran is not Israel but Saudi Arabia.

Or border crisis we have?
Are their schools failing? Do they no longer understand what a woman is? Is their president senile or going to jail?
We should leave them alone and focus on our own backyard

I hate to see where this goes if we don’t stand up to Israel.
Oh no. Iran might finally be free of their tyrannical government and the Iranian people can finally be free.
You'd think after blowing $3 trillion dollars, hundreds of thousands of deaths, and getting zero results in Afghanistan and Iraq that we would have learned that bombing people into democracy rarely works.
Ahhh 'murican FrEeDumB!!
+1000.
Blowing things up and killing people is the way to show others our pathway to liberation, freedom and democracy !
Agreed.
Far better to let them suffer under brutal dictatorships for generations.
Oh, wait...the far left doesn't like that approach either.
So confusing.
Why not? We let Palestinians suffer for generations under our ally .
If we want to be freedom givers, we have to support the liberation of everyone, right?

Somewhat superior, yes, when they aren't going on strike. What's your point? Israel cannot defeat Iran and isn't trying to.
It's not clear what you mean by "defeat Iran." But Israel has superior military technology and readiness compared to Iran and in a direct conflict, Israel would have a clear advantage. Given that Israel is being isolated and cornered, the only responsible thing for the Israeli government to do is strike hard at Iran. Iran just launched 350 missiles within Israel, after funding an operation to murder and kidnap thousands of Israelis. The government would be derelict of duty to "show restraint."

They don’t seem to be launched from Israel. They were either launched for Iraq or from within Iran. Iran claims the latter. Biden probably “allowed” Israel to “retaliate” but made sure that the retaliation might have been a small one. You can all go to sleep now. WWIII has not begun.
It may be a psyop but why? Neither Iran nor Israelis youth want to fight wars against each other and both governments are record high in unpopularity
To test Iranian response.
Yes, and also to demonstrate deterrence capabilities (and willingness).
