Sounds like a class act!

you won't find that type of schedule anywhere in the DC area.

Anonymous wrote:I’m not the OP and I know this is an old thread. But my current 8th grader would love a sports focused school. We are in private now and going bsck to MCPS for HS. It’s disheartening for kids like mine who struggle with academics ( adhd) but love sports.
Everything is stem now. Stem isn’t for everyone.
A sports magnet would be awesome.

That was some bs though. There was never any proof. The allegations were probably based on racism.
Every school this guy coached at, he built an elite program. He moved to private school were he didn’t have to deal with as the jealous people who were giving him the unnecessary problems.

The sports training is hit or miss, one coach will run training for the time they are suppose to, another will end it 30 mins early, another will move times around so they can’t be in their online classes. They took on way too many kids for only their second year. Kids are all over the place all day, in a public and non-secure public building. One kid already expelled for fighting, mean girl groups, kids can’t do work because it’s so loud in the classroom. The list goes on. They only reason to go there is if it is free for you. And if as a parent you have the time to manager your child’s academics.
The football team is crushing every opponent so far. They play Good Counsel on the 26th. That game ought to show if the are legitimately dominant.
They destroyed Good Counsel 43-7.
