There is something in your writing that gives me the feeling that you talk at him more than with him, do you bring up a subject to him or others and just rattle off the facts that you’ve learned about it without truly engaging in finding out what the other thinks?
I have known people who operated along with this constant commentary, it could be while peeling a potato or driving along a street but the words of observation that jogged thoughts were constant and make me feel like my presence and thoughts didn’t matter, they would be talking whether I was there or not because if I interject they would just continue on blathering.
OP, we can all be guilty of this from time to time but think about your last social phone call, did the other person just offer you a steady stream of yeses and okays and wows during the entirety of your conversation? If so you might be the type of person that talks at people and your husband is tired of it, it makes him feel fatigued and completely inconsequential.
