Diamonds, an engagement ring, or expensive jewelry.
Bigger stones or a bigger pricetag don't mean anything. Their value is completely made-up.

Teslas or EV are not really that practical. By the time you factor in the additional cost, cost for a home charging station, insurance, cost for new battery in 5 years, etc, the ROI is not really that great. It just looks fancy and cool.
It makes my life easier and driving is less annoying.
Sounds like you don't know how to drive, which is reason #1 why Tesla drivers have quickly outpaced BMW drivers as the worst and most annoying.

Teslas or EV are not really that practical. By the time you factor in the additional cost, cost for a home charging station, insurance, cost for new battery in 5 years, etc, the ROI is not really that great. It just looks fancy and cool.

I don't mind a cool, cloudy beach to take a long walk on. But I don't enjoy warm beaches, laying on the sand, crowds, or just spacing out on a beach for hours. Then sand gets absolutely everywhere.
Give me a mountain hike or view any day.

Dogs and horses. I actually like both but the idea of having one or more to care for sounds beyond exhausting.
Also c-suite jobs. Would hate that level of responsibility.
