Subject: How many diapers a day with 3yo
OP here again, not sure if another thread or to just stick it out, but how long did it take you to see progression with oh crap, we're still where we were on day 1, whilst adding rewards for success and sitting her on the toilet at regular intervals. We've got until Monday before we can't continue 24/7

Get her tested for diabetes.
OP here - I don't think they've tested her for this yet, we've looked at other body issues, how would this affect her?

OP here thank you, she's gone on the toilet twice so far today and had 3 accidents, sitting her there every 30 mins. She hasn't initiated at all yet, but at least we had two successes sitting on the toilet, hopefully the link will start happening. It's definitely exhausting if we've no consistency we'll take an afternoon out in a couple of days. The only annoying thing is the success has sort of just happened rather than her doing anything, so I don't know how strongly to praise her

This is absolutely not oh crap approved but I found that breaks in the early stages if potty training were essential. I would do the regular potty reminders and naked time for the morning to naptime, then put on diapers and go to the playground or something in the afternoon. Sticking at it all day made all of us miserable. Only once they got a morning without any accidents would I try to stretch that to a full day. My two cents only, sample size of two kids so use your best judgement and good luck!

OP here - we're still currently on the no underwear part of oh crap but she's been helping and cleaning up the accidents we've had so far and we'll do this when we get to the point where she can be in underwear

Me again.
Once I did this with my daughter, she potty trained herself in a week.
Second child took a bit longer with poo. She wanted to be on all 4s behind the sofa with a diaper for just a bit longer. I let her, it was fine. They all get there.

You ask them to change themselves (pee only). Talk them through it the first couple times, then hold them accountable. Poo can be a bit messy talk them through it but be there in case it's too messy.

You need to be writing down recording every time she pees or poos for a couple days. I did this so I saw the patterns of when I needed to put her on the toilet. For instance, in the morning, she’d pee every 30 min but in the afternoon only every 2 hours. So every hour is arbitrary and not necessarily what your kid needs. Make a log.
You seem so quick to give up every time there are accidents. One day of accidents doesn’t mean she’s not “ready,” especially if you were prompting her to go too infrequently. Stay within literally 4 feet of a potty, one in every room. Have her try every 20 minutes or whatever her natural cadence is. Give a treat she’d want for every single pee on the potty. Repeat until it clicks.

Change her diaper every 2 or so hours, not after every little drip. But of course, if she has a BM you change immediately. A child who is ready for potty training usually has a dry diaper during their mid morning change, or right after nap, or at the 4pm change. If she's ALWAYS wet at every diaper change, she may not be ready.
In our childcare center, older 2s and 3 yr olds who aren't potty training are changed when they get up in the morning, then at about 9:30/10am before we go outside to the playground, then after lunch before nap (so around 12:30pm, then when they get up from nap 2:30? 3pm? And before we go outside (4pm) they are checked - if wet, changed. And if they are still there at 5:30pm, they get checked and changed if wet.
(and of course, any BM is changed immediately)

Omg yes put her on the toilet every hour or two! I cannot imagine potty training a child without regularly prompting them to go for the first month at least.

Just because you mentioned it in your OP that there were "potty training signs" you needed- this isn't true. You can have success with no potty training signs. I trained all 3 of mine and there wasn't a single sign. They didn't even know the name for potty (they quickly learned the name for the potty and how to tell us).
