If you have a big enough car - we did a scavenger hunt for our daughter’s 12th. We had more kids so two mini vans but they could compete that way. Same clues but in different order so didn’t end up at the same place, at the same time, until the end.

Kids really had fun figuring out puzzle clues. And getting “bonus points” like “picture of the most expensive car”. Took a couple hours and they really did have fun. Mostly had stops in places they knew - old elementary school, etc.

Yeah, didn't you all see the recent news story about the dad who drugged the tweens? One was able to text her mom for help/come get them.

Yup, until that story I probably wouldn’t have blinked at a parent saying phones will be put away/taken at midnight or whatever. But now it would be a hard pass from me if a parent tried to mandate taking my kid’s phone at a sleepover.

Yet the odds of that happening are slim to none and the odds of them doing something idiotic on the phones are pretty high.

Agree.

+1. My kid would never go over to your house again. Don’t host sleepovers if you plan to take other kid’s phones.

As for advice, as your daughter. They will probably be happy with lots of snacks she picks out and something on tv she picks. My daughter would love the Era movie, a bunch of face masks for them to try out and a variety of snacks.

Your daughter is probably the one showing other girls porn on her phone under the covers. It happened to a friend's daughter in middle school - she pulled up her phone after the parents went to sleep and showed the other girls "what sex looks like". This is in one of those gated communities in Prince William County!

They ALL share porn.

That’s simply what middle school girls do with their phones. All of them.

You did not know? (and don’t give us that lame, clueless “not my child!” You child has watched too).

It must be soooo hard being a cool mom. You're not like the other moms, are you?
