If you don’t want it to be in the way, make sure you choose the right setting. The setting is probably more important than size. A bezel setting will not snag like a prong setting.

Same. Bigger isn’t necessarily better. Mine is less than a carat, nearly colorless and flawless natural diamond with tons of sparkle and I would feel uncomfortable wearing anything larger on a daily basis.

Mine is 1 ct and that's perfect for my small hands. I was worried about snagging a bigger stone on my hair or while being outdoors (and that does sometimes happen even with the ring I have). I have seen bigger stones that look beautiful on their owners but I would not wear something bigger. Ring size 6.

I wear my 1.4 ct old European cut solitaire daily but changed to a bezel setting a few years ago because the prongs kept snagging and breaking. Although mine is from dh’s grandma’s ring, I love that lab diamonds exist now to challenge the mined diamond industry. However this means that I just assume anything over 2.5 ct is lab, moissanite, or cz and think the smaller rings look more expensive than the cocktail ring sized diamonds.

Ring size is completely dependent on the size of the woman's finger. I see people saying size 7 is average. I had a size 8 slightly sized down.

If you're talking about stone size, mine is 2.25ct and I love it. But on a daily basis (running, working out, etc. I don't wear it because when I sweat it definitely feels loose) I just wear my wedding band.

I have a 1.5 and it is lovely, but I think my ideal size is 2-3 carats. I was window shopping in New Orleans during a recent trip and saw a stunning 3 carat cushion cut ring. I won't upgrade at this point because my engagement ring is my engagement ring, and we have been married for 20 years, but if I could go back in time, I would have offered to contribute to the cost of my ring to get exactly what I wanted. It is something I wear everyday and will for my whole life. I wear very little other jewelry.
