My daughter is not missing school every week. It was 6 days in September, none in October, unfortunately 12 in December (she had Covid, she alone in the family, none of us parents), 1 in January, 3 in February, and 4 in March. She has been home today and yesterday, too, complaining of a sore throat. She really does have a sore throat, she is not pretending.
As I said, we had to do extensive mold remediation in our home. Old carpeting may be an issue, too.
Is she sick or is she “sick”? Would she be complaining of a sore throat (and honestly who keeps their kid out of school for two days for a sore throat??) if you didn’t coddle her when she is home? If she had to fend for herself and staying home was boring because you weren’t there to keep her company and take care of her would she even have any ailments?
