They are adults this is not your decision however you don’t have to fund it

My parents paid for my in-state tuition and they would not pay for spring break or a sorority. I though that was fair.

My mom did say to me 'anytime that many women get together it's a bunch of bEatches' which stuck in my mind . Some houses that was DEFINITELY true.

My school was big. I did rush and it wasn't until I went to the first meeting and they announced a 'fee change' that I opted out. What's funny is so many people still think I was in the sorority as many of my friends were. But--by Junior year nobody was even active in it anymore and none of the socialization was greek-based---people partied with everyone. The frat row was opened to everyone, etc.

More socializing was tailgating at football games and off-campus big block parties.
