As my dc transitioned from es to me to he, libraries seemed to deteriorate in importance. Probably because high schoolers are busy and they have public libraries for actual research

I like the one in our ES. It was my K Dad's favorite "special" - they loved walking over as a class and picking out a book to bring home.

That's really harsh. Are you an expert in library science?

Perhaps you can volunteer your time to help reshelve books, if that is what you feel makes the media center disorganized.

My DD went to Eastern, and the library was her happy place. The librarians were kind and welcoming, suggested books based on things she checked out, and asked her to help out with displays of new and interesting older materials. She’s a senior now, so this was a few years ago, but those librarians were absolute gems.

Volunteer to go help decorate


+1. Goodwill has tons of stuff if school allows items from outside. Books and posters can be found at used bookstores or cheap online.

What middle school are you talking about? Ours is huge and filled with books, posters and lots of life!
