Are these typical percentages for Gen Z?
I would say yes, you'll find similar percentages at other comparable elite colleges and it is very much an elite college phenomena. Looking closely at the data, there's not much % growth in homosexuals (the good old fashioned gays and lesbians) from 2010 to the present. It's the sharp increase in bisexuals and questionings. I attribute it mainly to identity-label seeking among impressionable young girls rather than anything serious.
I went to Brown and am glad to know people are still complaining about the dorms (boring but fine) and food (boring but fine) 20+ years later! There's a virtue to slumming it a bit in college. Still think highly of the place even if I am fairly moderate-conservative. I've been impressed by how the admin has handled the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on campus. Intro classes were large back then but regular classes and seminars were all sub 20. One of my proudest/coolest moments in college was getting the #2 final grade in the intro to econ seminar that had 100+ students. Providence is a great town for four years. It was only senior year that we started feeling like we wanted something more than College Hill and started venturing to Boston or NYC.
