ECNL may be able to add some big names - eg Nationals, TopHat - but if GA can weather that and bring in more clubs that are MLS Next on the boys side (eg SYC), they’ll survive and probably strengthen in a few years.
How do you think the rest of this plays out
ECNL ends GA and MLSNext ends ECNL Boys.
ECNL only added boys when GDA became a thing and it was ECNL's answer to boys who wanted to play high level soccer while being allowed to play High School soccer. ECNL girls remained intact by allowing high school soccer that DA prohibited.

How about all the ECNL coaches here posting on this forum focus more on their clubs instead of focusing on SYC having GA. Clearly ppl here are afraid or mad SYC now has GA.
Why would anyone be mad that SYC has GA?
If Syc 2012s snag a few more players from ECNL teams, they will be the most dominant team.
Believe it or not, some parents/kids would rather win a national championship in GA than struggle every season on a mid tier ECNL team
Nobody is willingly leaving ECNL for GA.
FCV had an established record of college commitments long before GA. What record of college recruitment does SYC have? It's more than just being in the league that attracts players and families, it is a track record of college recruiting success. SYC, on the girls side has none compared to the remaining ECNL clubs.
Yes they will. Little Susie riding that bench on a 2012 pre ECNL team will most definitely check them out.

This is 100% correct.
When it comes to recruiting Playing in GA finals gets more eyeballs than not going to finals in ECNL.
That's funny. Compare the college scout attendance lists of the ECNL showcases against the GA Finals. Both are posted.
Right. And there are more college scouts at a GA FINAL than there are in a mid tier ECNL teams games who’s season ends early every year after being mediocre.
I've seen about 30-40 coaches at the GA final. I've seen way more at ECNL showcases for mid-tier teams.

Yes they do. Over 100 coaches at most Florida and Arizona Ecnl games. Even if both are under .500. They could care less about the team. Looking only at the player they are there to see. Two years ago coach told DD at an event that her team sucked. Offer came shortly after. Every girl on that Ecnl team had a commit. 80% plus were p5 D1s or high academic D1s and D3s.
Good for them! Hope it was a full ride and not a crappy 20% of a scholarship

Ummmm no. ECNL Florida and Arizona have more coaches than GA finals.
If you are in Ecnl winning is not the object. It is getting seen by and committing to college. So no you would rather be in a mid Ecnl team where every kid commits as opposed to an even top ga team.
GA is great. No one is mad that syc got it. They are a good club and will do well with it. It does offer an opportunity for a number of people. Good addition to local soccer. Good option. But let’s don’t go crazy. You might have picked FCV over Ecnl in the past but now if you had the choice and can get to one of the clubs you would be better off on an Ecnl club.
