Single parent who just turned 55. Total net worth = 12m. That includes $1.4m in real estate for a paid off home and $500K set aside for college/grad school for my 17yo. So about 10m invested.

I'm semi-retired; still working on a few existing contracts (I run a small business) but not taking on anything new. So I haven't started tapping my investments for living expenses yet, but I will in another few years.

55 and 45. $1 million in retirement accounts, half a million in taxable, half a million in home equity. One pension worth $65k a year starting at 62. No college savings. Will need to cash flow about 8 years worth of tuition starting in three years.
