Or Georgetown

will likely get flack on this site, but the truth is that these three are all pretty comparable from a prestige perspective - Villanova has been helped by their hoops
success but they attract similar applicants imo (cue nutty mom who will throw data back at me and refute my claim!)

No, we wouldn’t want data to get in the way of your opinion.

correction “nutty mom who will twist data”

What? You order it Notre Dame then Villanova? Seems a little skewed. What about Boston College and Georgetown?

Georgetown and BC would have something to say about that.

Georgetown is nominally Catholic but it just doesn’t feel like it. Do kids there ever go to Mass?

The student tour guide my kid had at Georgetown bragged that the university is not into anything Catholic. If the tour guides are openly and proudly promoting GT as not being Catholic, that speaks loudly to the secularism and anti catholicism of Georgetown.

Even the Georgetown website plays down its Catholic heritage, especially when you compare it to Catholic schools like Notre Dame.

It’s fine.
But it may be noticeable during a couple of times during the year. For example kids may get Easter basket packages form home, a few will go to mass next weekend , some probably got ashes a few weeks ago on Ash Wednesday. Regular weeks during regular times of the year, it probably isn’t really discernible as most kids won’t go to mass every week. If your kid is fine with this, it’s no biggie.

BC's Finance is ranked #7 nationally if that's your interest.

I know a kid who turned BC, NEU and Babson down for Villanova. Good school in a nice location.
