Yes. We are trying to eliminate the male gender. Slowly chipping away and phasing out the “he/him” pronouns.

What? I don't think playing around with pronouns is the culprit here. I think all the new chemicals/plastics in the environment are disrupting hormone levels and feedback loops within our bodies.

They're turning the frogs gay.

And the fish in the Potomac two gender.

He can delete an unwanted incoming message.

Rape isn't legal after 18, so he'll need to learn how to make safe moves at some point. Also, "she made the first move" is not a defense against assault. Consent can be implicitly or explicitly withdrawn at any moment.

Do you have children? Daughters? Sons?

Not the poster you're responding to, but I have three sons and I have talked to them a lot about consent. I'm not worried that they are going to be accused of rape.

My priority is to teach them how to be good partners to people who they recognize as their equals. I'm sure that's baffling to the incels on this thread, and to the parents who nurture their sense of grievance.

This video caught my attention:

Sure growing up in the 80s wasn't exactly like the beginning of the film, but it certainly was different than what we have now.

What is your point? That people communicating online and meeting people with shared interest who have expressed in interest in dating you is inferior to interrupting someone at lunch and judging exclusively on looks? And the creepy stalker song is the anthem of gold dating?

In a society that expected kids to get married between 17-21yo it made sense for courtship and dating to happen in high school and the early bumblings in middle school.

I for one sincerely hope my children do not get married until they are at least done with 4years of college. They can date for fun or serious relationships at that time.

I wonder if there has also been a similar alteration in girls' hormones.

This is bad news and I'm surprised that more people are not sounding the alarm about it.

It’s a good thing. People will have less kids.

Disruption of hormones is never a good thing, individually or at a society level.

What can I tell you, mankind evolves. You can’t expect humans to be the same now as when you were a kid.

I can tell you that we are looking at the destruction of our species. It has happened to other species in the past. Now we are doing it to ourselves.

Anonymous wrote:To the boy moms worried about how scared their kid is of being accused of sexual assault…good! They should all (whatever the relationship) understand consent and that anything other than a clear yes is a no, and everyone should know and be responsible for giving clear yes.

This isn’t something to be afraid of or make excuses to hold back happening.

In the board room, exam room, classroom…society should learn how to give and receive consent. Period.

It's a nice idea but not how humans work. We aren't robots who run the intimacy program according a script at a scheduled time.

Half or more the happily married people here are married to someone who violated the modern theory of consent at some point before marriage, yet they are still happily married.

It's like all these adults somehow forgot how sexual assault was the norm 30 years ago. Pop in a VHS and look!

Either accept sexual assault as an unpleasant experience that most people survive, like a car crash, or accept sexual isolation and safety, like staying off the roads. There is no 100% freedom with 100% safety.
