Yes, flew cross-country and did some touristy things while there. My husband and I wore a mask on the plane, but the kids did not. Husband and I were vaccinated but kids are not boosted. We all had mild COVID in September after back to shcool though.

Went to Australia for Christmas + FL for MLK. No Covid. We still wear masks on the plane.

Not a sniffle the full two weeks we were gone or the first week we were back. Then the kids went back to daycare and we’re in the thick of it with back to back colds again, unfortunately.

I guess I should note we’re all vaccinated for Covid; adults got a booster earlier this fall (October so it’s probably worn off), kids did not.

We traveled throughout Italy on trains/planes and none of our party got sick. Frequent hand washing and antibacterial spray but didn’t mask.

It is possible to live life and avoid covid. Masking is the key to doing this.
Sure you could get it at a restaurant, but our approach is to avoid it when you can.

Every time you take off the mask, you're back to ground zero. And in the restaurant you are in close proximity to others at your table. Who are the people who are always far more likely to give you COVID than a passing stranger I never understood the logic of people sacredly masking to go to the supermarket when they are barely close to anyone but don't around their family and friends who are in their faces all the time.

We traveled in Nov in Spain. DH got covid, DD and I did not. He got sick day before we left for home, felt better the next day so we thought it was just a cold. Next day after we got home he tested positive. We were fine though. And luckily his case was milder than when he gets a cold passed down from our ES age daughter.

Yes, traveled, but vaccinated and wore a mask on the plane. Didn't wear a mask on the uncrowded Amtrak train. No illness.
