YES. They should have re-cast Adam Brody and had Lane end up with him.

I agree that the reboot was character assassination for Rory.
I don't think Lane has an awful life. I just think Lane had a lot more potential than waitress at Luke's diner, married to an immature doofus, who got pregnant on her honeymoon and didn't even have a good time with the sexuality that she was finally allowed to express.
The show has a very clear dichotomy - you either go to the Ivy League and leave Stars Hollow or you are working class for the rest of your life. Lorelei is an exception, but only after toiling in the working class for almost 20 years.
Why couldn't Lane have worked for a couple of years after high school and then have gone to UConn or something. Rory is back in Stars Hollow all the time. Lane could have done the same. A great arc in the last season would have been for Lane to come home engaged - maybe even to Adam! - with a good job lined up so she can make sure her mom can work less and help her with kids...someday.

Anonymous wrote:To me the show ruined Rory with the cheating storyline, her not remembering her boyfriend's name, her aimlessness...A big part of the show was to take us on a growth journey with this immature kooky teen mom raising an awesome, nice, grounded kid, and she turned out opposite. It made it all sad to me in retrospect.

He’s a gifted actor.
He does a ton of motion capture, specifically for Marvel. I think other actors really like working with him.
TIL Kirk is... handsome?

Lane marries her loser husband and gets pregnant the first time she has sex. And it was bad sex at that!
Her whole storyline went off track when Adam Brody got cast on the OC and she lost Dave. They failed her miserably after that.
