It refers to Duke St, Main St andLittle River Turnpike but not sure who uses the number.
Many people who grew up in the area refer to it as 236, especially in the Annandale area before it gets to Fairfax and is called Main Street.
+100 literally every one who grew up here calls it rt 236. Pp must be a newbie.
I'm in Fairfax not Annandale. We do not call Main St. 236!
I'm in Fairfax and I call it 236 (because my DH, who grew up in FFX, calls it that; he calls every numbered street by the number; 29, 50, 123, whatever).

I'm in Arlington and the roads were totally fine yesterday.
I drove on 236 three days ago and it was totally fine.
I grew up on 236 before it was called 236 and we had some bad ice storms.
I walked down 236 about 40 years ago, in the middle of a snow storm, had been to a bonfire and sledding at Pine Crest Golf course.
Had to leave car there because the roads were bad… I didn’t get hit by a car, but I did see some cars abandoned in the ditch that ran along the road.
But I was awfully cold walking home! This was way before Goretex and Northface.

Slick and sloppy, trucks spinning out. Avoid at all costs.

OP didn’t post yesterday. She posted at 4pm and it was fine then.

Learned to drive in SW Michigan fwiw, so I'm no stranger to driving in snow.

It’s quite bad in nova. Please don’t speak for the whole region
I thought we were trying to get real advice from real drivers?
