So Elon musk must be African American then

Hopkins undergrad in policy and economics is very, very strong. You can also do the 5-year program with SAIS (one of the best International studies program). People wrongly associate JHU only with STEM.

Hopkins actually has a relatively high test blind admits rate.

How do you come to this conclusion? I get they don’t factor legacy, but assume they care about all the other holistic stuff.
They also absolutely recruit athletes.
As a practical matter, they do not care a whole lot about other "holistic" stuff. Legacy is out. Not that much athletic recruitment at JHU. Lacross and Fencing are the only exceptions, I think.

He was accustomed to having exclusively high achieving students but now encountered some who needed remedial work. As a society we have decided that this is what we want.
Prof here. All profs are complaining about student preparation these days. It's gone way down hill. Not due to race-based admissions, but probably due at least in part to Covid.

Harvard and Yale are closer to 40% white. Much lower % of Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans than Hopkins. Seems strange that people would only lie to get into Hopkins!

The leftist administrations of universities have decided they want to force-feed everyone their social justice agenda. Most people in this country are against race-based admissions, even groups that supposedly benefit, and Supreme Court has ruled that it is illegal.
Most people in this country want the best doctors they can get, particularly when they are fighting for their life.
