This is a moot point since many of the supporting documents are cited and have nothing to do with the Parents Coalition. They are linking to official complaints from parents and teachers that went to the board or MCPS directly.
I understand but I think that as soon as this blog takes on your cause it is a hinderance not a help. It gets an immediate eye roll from many.
Just you. Since you hate parents and teachers, can't you threaten them with sanctions for speaking their mind? Threaten their children's grades? Threaten to transfer teachers? You know, do the old Beidleman moves? You are high up enough in MCPS that you can inflict pain on parents and teachers.
Not sure who you think I am but I am just a mom sitting at a keyboard that many years ago came across the blog. Over the years I have found that it does nothing but complain and nitpick at everything MCPS. Again - I think the person running it may very well have some sort of illness that has her obsessed with finding issue within MCPS. I am by know means saying that MCPS does not have issues but that blog is off the rails and I would not want it to be my mouth piece for any cause.

Yes, most people do not care when the BOE spends millions on a pilot that fails. Why should any parents care about the waste of funding?
I'm actually grateful they keep trying to improve MCPS with these trials. Sure, sometimes it doesn't work out, but their efforts have made MCPS one of the finest schools systems in the USA!

Anonymous wrote:I don't understand why Cresthaven wasn't included in the innovative school year from the start. Arcola is K through 5. Roscoe Nix is K-2. Full disclosure, my kids went to Roscoe Nix and Cresthaven. It is easier on families when the schools are on the same schedule. The schools don't start at the same time ether. They pitched the program as preventing learning loss, but since the results do not support the experiment, they should end the program. Prior to the innovative calendar, there was a summer program, but it was not mandatory. They don't care about inconveniencing working parents. They often held parent meetings during the school/work day.

So you want them to ignore issues and not try anything new???
The kool-aid is in reference to the ridiculous “finest school systems in the USA” propaganda that was thrown out.
