You could not be more uninformed and wrong about this. Sensodyne is the only toothpaste brand that does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), which is a leading cause of canker sores. My flare ups have drastically reduced since switching to this brand 3 years ago. Again, this brand of toothpaste used to cost no more than $5, and now costs over $9. It has only increased to guys amount in the past few months, so something is definitely up.
