It's interesting that this is already a 5 pages thread about "13 MCPS HS decline in state rankings " because of absenteeism, but there was no thread about the 20 MCPS HS that made the AP honor roll not too long ago.
I guess that doesn't fit the narrative.

This is untrue. Back in 2018 they definitely did not alter the boundary policy to make diversity a lot more important than it was previously and definitely didn't order a boundary study that definitely wasn't designed to usher in diversity busing.

People with kids who are in the so-called W schools or kids who went through ES CM & CES/MS magnet/HS magnet will think their kids received great educations. There’s not enough spot for those seats and nowadays impossible to get in.

For those who couldn’t get in, it just feels like a sinking ship. If you think MCPS is stellar, that’s great, we could always agree to disagree.
