It’s a middle school, genius.

Also: this crap is strong and sends kids to the hospital.

Police data has a call for it yesterday at 1:43pm.

Second time in a week there’s been a cannabis incident at an MCPS middle school. The kids are not OK.

This seems only to be a problem at W feeders. Maybe they're the only schools where kids have the $$$ for this sort of thing.

If you think only W can afford marijuana

True, but the wealthy W schools had this reputation even when I was in MCPS 20+ years ago, so not unsurprising.

Whitman and Churchill had a reputation for this kind of thing even 20+ years ago. This is nothing new.
Yes. Meanwhile, east county school have a reputation for gang murders. I'll take my chances with weed.

Although there have definitely been a bunch of these drug incidents at W's reported here, there hasn't been a single gang related incident at any MCPS school in decades.
Ok, sure. Gangs just wait until AFTER school to do their murders.

Hardly there was just a handgun incident at WJ and don't forget about the knife incidents at the other W's.
Kids were actually shot and stabbed at east county schools last year. But sure, if your autism has you fixated on the W schools, you do you.

Magruder is not "east county"

Stop with the facts already!
Yeah, that's what progressives fixate on instead of the kids who were shot and stabbed at non-W schools.

Ironically, I've mostly heard about gun and knife incidents at w schools this past year.

It seems like even these schools have serious problems maybe even more than others.
Yes, incidents like this are on the rise, but not as much as in non-W schools. But I'm glad you agree that MCPS needs a return to discipline rather than the half-baked and totally ineffective scheme of restorative justice.

I see more of these items in the news at W schools than others so I think you're simply in denial here.
The Takoma Torch won't cover anything critical of non-W schools so I'm sure you do. If you were more liberal (like me) you'd expand your information sources and then you'd hear about incidents in over there.
