I'm extroverted and friendly, and have often had people think I'm flirting with them when I'm 100% not. It would super weird if anyone ever did that mid-conversation, and tbh, it would be pretty embarassing for them

Bc I'm a guy. And there have been multiple times in my life where woman have gently (and sometimes not so gently) "I have a boyfriend." or "Sorry, I'm married", when I wasn't even remotely flirting with them.
But who goes to a party and gets offended when someone mingles and chats? And I would be super annoyed if I was chatting with a person at a party and they said "oh, a man is talking to me, let me physically pull my husband in (bc I'm so arrogant that any man that talks to me is clearly flirting with me)"

You both have issues for getting your jollies by trying to embarrass others. Maybe your husband really is interesting, and she is just observing g that. But I guess in addition to being weirdos, neither you nor your husband himself, in fact, think he is interesting.
I have to agree with first PP here. If you have your claws out to try to reign in someone else's DH, you deserve to be embarrassed - public embarrassment? Even better! If you go after (even if you don't admit it) someone else's DH - there is nothing to stop one or both members of that couple warning near and far about your uncouth behaviors. Same for my FIL. He also eventually cheated, and all his kids knew about it. One adult child lost all respect for him up until he died, and my spouse still harbors resentment for what their dad put their mother through.
I find flirting in front of your spouse extremely disrespectful.

This. Focusing intensely on you, purposefully excluding anyone else even if you try to draw another person into the conversation, trying to slowly draw you away from the crowd. That’s the rude, harmful type of flirting.

From another perspective, my dad was always flirtatious and inappropriate with other women and it was absolutely mortifying for me. I noticed it from a very young age and it felt uncomfortable and confusing and created some issues with healthy boundaries and relationships for me in my teenage years. As another hot guy (at least according to my beautiful wife) women are always flirting with me. I don't notice it. When we are among friends with the other dads some of the wives I feel like dress me down sometimes. But I think it could be all in my head lol
