Can’t find the post now, but someone posted above how hard it is to be short and not thin. Because proportionally it just looks more off. I have had to adjust my eating quantities soooo much being 5’0”.

1. Overweight and losing weight
2. Realize I need to eat less than other people. Took me 30+ years to realize (though I wasn’t overweight until age 32, so I guess I did fine eating bigger portions until then)
3. Restaurant portions, or even backyard bbq portions, can be insane

So three reasons to eat less. Because I don’t need to eat as much for my size.
I’m losing weight.
And the portions are too large for average sized people.

If you see me “eating like a bird” (lunch is yogurt, fruit. And pretzels with hummus), this is why. I do not need a huge portion size of pasta with a salad with a roll with a drink and a dessert.

I'm 5'5 so truly feel I can give an unbiased assessment. Between the two I would 100% prefer to be shorter if given the option, because I too notice the increased attention short women get from men. I feel like I'm right in the middle and frankly I think it's a sweet spot but if I was forced to gain/lose inches I'd lose em no contest... easy choice. Men go crazy over a 5'2 woman.

Though I dont know how many men truly care about "elegant", tbh. I think that's more of a thing women and gay men look to.

I dont know... I feel like men LOVE sassy short women. So often I'll see a 5'0 woman bossing around some 6'3 man. They seem a lot feistier and more aggressive and assertive than tall women. (Which is maybe part of the appeal?)

I don't think men are attracted to short women because they're short, but because it's easier to look youthful and stereotypically feminine when you're short. A shorter torso creates the illusion of more dramatic curves. Smaller women retain their "cuteness" longer than taller women do. If you can manage to stay thin, short ages very well.
