Unmaking of June farrow

Thanks so much for this recommendation. I’m reading it now and like it a lot!!

Wrong Place Wrong Time - woman's son kills someone, she begins to wake up earlier and earlier and tries to unravel the mystery of why her son did it. 4.5/5. Tight plot, interesting twists, definitely a page turner.

OP, if you’d like a movie with the same plot device, I loved About Time. It’s so sweet.

Haha! I disliked it for the opposite reason— I thought the time travel/sci fi elements were completely underdeveloped and sometimes even silly/laughable. Like one part where a character apologizes for not being there earlier. What?! You literally have a Time Machine….

I think it’s semantics. I totally understand what OP wants and I want the same.

I just finished The Jane Austen Project recommended here and really liked it, even though I’m not a major Jane Austen fan.

Another author I don’t think has been mentioned yet is Mike Chen, who has several time travel books. Initially I wasn’t into them because they start off a little sci-fi for my taste (think aliens), but that recedes and they primarily focus on him, his family and time travel dilemmas.

Confused. Time travel makes is sci-fi by definition…

I have heard such great things about that book but I lost my dad recently and I just can't bring myself to read it yet because I think it'll crack me. Hopefully one day.

I lost my dad a few years ago and it was a hard book for me — lots of tears — but a terrific story.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I sobbed my eyes out reading “This Time Tomorrow” and had not experienced the loss of a loved one. It’s a great book but it bits hard.
