Because if you do use hidden cameras, then not offer full disclosure to your Nanny….and she finds out later she likely will leave the position on the spot.

Offer full disclosure from the beginning on any + all cameras that you will have in the home.

If I was a nanny I wouldn’t mind at all that there are cameras as I would completely understand the need to make sure your kid is being watched and protected properly. However I would expect my employer to be 100% transparent with me about where they were located because if they are going to be dishonest with me in one area who is to say that they wouldn’t be dishonest with me in other areas? Why stop there?

It doesn’t make for a good employer/employee relationship to be dishonest.

Even with cameras in big Centers they still abuse kids lol

I have been a home daycare provider and also worked in an elementary school for many years. I have believed for a long time that anyone working with children ought to be on camera. Most people will do nothing wrong but the ones that do make it worth whatever the objections are.

I don't think any of the cameras should be hidden or secret. It should just be standard practice. Especially those working with nonverbal kids (infants, toddlers, kids with nonverbal disorders) although even if your kids are verbal there can be stuff happening to them they do not disclose, it's very common among kids who are abused.

Those of you who think that just hiring someone you trust is the answer are delusional. Children have lost their lives or had their lives ruined by "trusted" adults doing horrible things.
