My eating has not changed. My current diet is mostly IF and low carb with indulgences like pizza once a week and dessert/cocktail on weekends. But the weight crept on this year. I have found unless I go (i) zero carbs, (ii) IF and (iii) no sugar, I cannot get back to 132. The thing is, I like to eat. I eat relatively healthy, but I like to have dessert and a cocktail or two on weekends. I am trying to come to terms with the fact that either I do no carb/no sugar to get back to 132 (which I was always trying to get below anyway) or I just enjoy my life and suck it up at being 137. Anyone relate?
You have a normal BMI, and a 5 pound weight shift can be due to fluid alone. You need to just chill out.
Please do not belittle OP's concern. She made it clear it's been a while. It's not someone having Chinese food and then posting about overnight bloating.
If you can't be helpful, be kind.
OP I've been dieting for two months. Really careful about calories but I need to focus on more protein I think. Lost a little weight at first and now my body has decided to stay here. I need to exercise more but at 49, the weight just doesn't want to come off.
It drives me crazy when people say it's just calories. It isn't. Age and menopause have a lot to do with it.
FYI - 137 is my goal weight. I'm 5'4" and 150lbs and I'm completely stuck here!!!
