But let me guess, who cares about billion dollar corporations, it barely affects their revenues, it is insured, yadda yadda yadda.
I hope voters in the city love all of the inconvenience and retail deserts they voted for.
5 pages in and no one called out OP yet for leaving out the important part of this story? The items in question are paper products (toilet paper & facial tissue) that homeless people keep stealing. Hardly an indication of the downfall of social values. (Unless you consider the plight of people needing to steal TP.)
DCUM took OP’s clickbait title and ran with it, as usual.
Grow up. Your denial does more harm than good. You are a big part of DC’s problem.

Stop demonizing teenagers. I’ve posted this before, but Tenley Target employees told me that big theft rings are responsible for stealing bottles of detergent to sell on the black market, not bored teenagers. Do you really think teens are stealing paper towels?

This looks so staged and fake.
take off the tin foil hat. it's not like owning a pharmacy is some lucrative business. these stores have really thin margins. if people start stealing all their shit, they're going to close. why do you think there's so few grocery stores in ward 8? these businesses are not charities.
LOL CVS pharmacies literally mint money. The retail part of the store is a loss leader to get you into the store to fill your prescriptions at the pharmacy. CVS makes all its money at the pharmacy window.

This will continue if people are not punished and prosecuted!
Get ready for all stores to close and you can complain all you want about not finding a place to fill your prescriptions…
You deserve this DC and MD voters.
