I worry about this with Anthropologie. I've had a bunch (6+?) dress occasions since June and have routinely ordered 4-5 dresses and kept one--often when paying $30 for overnight shipping. I'm 49 and my body is all weird (to me) with perimenopausal changes so it takes me a few tries to get a flattering dress. Gone are the days that I can put anything on and look good.
Added to this is a huge Urban Outfitters order we just placed for Homecoming dresses. Bought 6, keeping 1 (maybe). They're all pretty shoddy, sizing is all over the place, etc. It's almost impossible for even a teenager to pick the right dress virtually.

Item was marked delivered by the carrier, but she never received it (it either went to the wrong house or got stolen). They refunded her, but banned her from making any future online orders, though she can still shop in store.
Sephora will do that to you too if you report a lost package. The first time. They don’t give any allowance for actual errors or thefts. You report a package missing; they refund you your money; and you can never order online from them again.

They didn’t like that the billing address was different from the shipping address. So I cancelled the order and made two orders for two dresses each on a card with matched billing address.
Maybe I’ll be banned after I return 3 to 4 of them?
well, that's clear. Girls buying multiple slip dresses from Homecoming would send up a red flag!
So stores don't want to keep inventory in stock and push online ordering but they also don't want people to order multiple sizes and return.
Anonymous wrote:I’m inexplicably banned from ordering online from Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and Free People. (I think they’re all owned by the same company.) it’s the same thing, though. The order goes through initially, but it gets cancelled afterward.
Anonymous wrote:I had a credit card leak from orders placed online in nov 2023. Could never figure the source. Today I received an email from my bank for a declined payment on the American Eagle Outfiter online store with my old cancelled credit card number. So avoid this company as your data is most likely not secured.
