Unless your MIL needs a crib these items are not “for her” they’re for your baby. And they’re not just up-to-date, clean, and new (lots of MILs try to sub in hand-me-downs), but are exactly the models/brands you want your baby to use.

I think you must already have other issues with her otherwise this would be seen as a nice gesture. Whatever other boundary issues you have had with her you should probably take it up with your husband and have him talk to her especially wrt setting expectations.

My MIL instructed me to buy items for her house. At least your MIL is spending her own money and being proactive.

This is coming off as greedy that she isn’t giving the items to you but actually it’s a kindness to you to have the same kinds of items at a house the baby will visit regularly.
