Kind of annoying they didn't get to finish, but I guess they were following instructions they received from MCPS.

From the sound of it, it was simply a system overload, so there wasn’t anything to be done on students’ devices that would have helped. It wasn’t even student logins that were the problem—it was the proctors logging on at the same time that caused the overload.
But FWIW, my student’s school did have them do a test run with the software and fill out all the admin stuff last week. They were required to use their MCPS Chromebooks.

Anonymous wrote:Wow, I’m surprised to see this. The “nationwide issue” was basically server overload of teacher proctors logging in. We’ve had that before with other digital state testing. RM very early on sent teachers a note to just keep refreshing until they got in. We had time built into our schedule anticipating login problems. We also had a homeroom last week to check student devices and do pre-administration, so kids were ready to go. And the staff meeting last week was the online training, so everyone had been verified to be ready. As soon as refreshing got the proctors in to advance the students to start testing, the kids had no issues. I think our room was delayed by only ~15 min with the time outs.

How can they do that last minute?
Most of the kids were already there?
Freshman and seniors are not there. That’s 1/2 the school
My freshman is taking the psat today. Or they were
Are all freshman taking it?
Private schools allow the freshman to take PSAT's. Publics do not
Then either the PP is lying or is in private and posting on an MCPS thread.
Chill
?? It’s just a statement.
Calling someone a liar or an unwelcome interloper is overreacting. MCPS is not that special. Chill.

Did Poolesville complete the test? Why did it work at Poolesville and not at other schools?
