I'd gently offer that most people are critical of others in some way, and some people are particularly free with criticism. You're losing sleep over the comment, while they might not have meant it to be as deep as you're taking it. Or maybe they do really think you're immature-- that's okay.

The point has been made here, but please do take it to heart. Most adults brush these types of things off and move on. Yes, they may have unpleasant and intrusive thoughts about it, like you did last night, but generally they are able to take it in stride. I'm concerned that your self concept might be shaky, and comments like this can't be brushed off because they are too big of a threat to your self esteem.

You could expend expend energy thinking about settling the score. But what does that do for you? All that energy could be put toward self improvement or self acceptance. It might seem impossible right now, but is it possible you can use this comment for good, and grow from it? Maybe to accept yourself more, and love yourself enough that you can brush these things off and get a good night's rest?
