Except that Democrats supports workers’ rights, unions, workers safety, C suite sharing profits with the employees who helped earn those profits, minimum wage and living wages, health care for all and the GOP opposes all of the above.

I’m with you OP but not specifically for all of the reasons you mentioned. I grew up as economically progressive, socially conservative dem. I left the party about 20 years ago. I don’t vote now.

Start with being honest with the positions of the party. Because you have not come anywhere CLOSE to describing the positions of the democratic party in your OP. So start with shutting down the cable news channels and Twitter, and educating yourself. Because your post shows you're not really educated about the issues, or the parties' positions, at all. We've lost our way politically in that there's no candidates for either party that deserve my vote. I don't agree you have to cast a vote for someone you don't believe in. That's settling and that's being dishonest with everyone including yourself. I simply don't feel the need to pretend one party is better than the other because while I'm a social liberal who is strongly pro choice and pro immigration, I think the Dems have lost their way on so many levels. The Left is extreme now - cancel culture is very real and it's scary.

Do you think Blacks or other minorities or liberal women or any of the other underrepresented people in US history were thrilled about either of the party nominees in most elections in the past 150 years? You act like you are the first people in history who are disappointed in your options. I’ve been voting since 1976 and I’ve only strongly supported 2 nominees out of 12 presidential elections. I’m a Democrat and end up supporting the Democratic nominee against whatever fascist or bigot or corporate stooge or corrupt idiot the Republicans nominate, but in open years my preferred candidate almost never wins the Democratic nomination. Biden is not my top choice but he is many times better than the alternative.

No. Clinton’s policies were moderate because he had to cut deals with a Congress led by Gingrich, Armey, Delay, Dole, and Lott. He got significant progressive policies as part of those deals. Nixon appears somewhat reasonable on a few issues only because he had to work with a heavily Democratic pro-labor Congress.
