Some of these coaches didn’t invite kids who really wanted to play and what were they supposed to do? Not play? Travel lacrosse was a great fit for these kids. And before someone says maybe the kid wasn’t good enough to be invited, everyone knows that isn’t always the case when you have parent coaches and the drama/politics that goes with that. True doesn’t have parent coaches. They have nice kids, good coaches, and are trying to run a good program. Can’t make everybody happy but they do have a lot of boys that have fun, are talented, and generally nice people to be around. So let’s stop comparing how rec teams can clean up true teams.
Yeah but still McLean Dulles South or Vienna AAA would beat True VA teams
The only team at the 14u level that could beat true va is Dulles South having 2 Nationals LC 29s and the rest of the team consisting of DCE 28s and top Hammers 28s.
I am pretty sure that U14 team won the Fall Brawl Tournament last weekend.
They did. That team was mostly composed of 28s (I'd say about 50% had DC Express helmets) while at least Arlington and Vienna were 29s.
They also seemed to be the most organized of all the teams I watched. Pretty clear that had held practices. They were the only team that regularly ran an LSM out on the field. Most other teams did it sporadically. They also seemed to be the most organized when dealing with the Fall Brawl atypical penalty system by having one of their LSM start right behind the offensive penalty taker/fast break starter. I.e., the idea was that the fast break player would be either slow or indecisive allowing the LSM to use the long pole to check the ball out before the player could pass it ot the offensive players.

Kids in Vienna/McLean are making the drive over to Bethesda and Next Level.

So what does that tell about why it was posted by a VLC backer....jealously is an ugly trait to have.
Nobody is “jealously” of any True Teams.

I'm confused. Collectively, the teams went 11-7 and exclude the 25 team went 10-3 losing games in the semis to good teams (or the winning B bracket). Team Carolina is ranked 53, Charleston Elite is 83, True NC 704 was a regional team so no ranking but a mix of kids from True Premier/LKN that are ranked 40 and 57, respectfully - so a good team. Team 91 Charlotte Blue (no ranking) could be considered bad.
I guess but I'm assuming this poster is a VLC backer...what exactly did they do this weekend. 29 team won the B division playing no one. Not sure what any other VLC team did because I don't have the inclination to look them up.
Could have been better but could certainly been worse.
