It's also impossible to make elementary age kids "take a nap". If I wake him st 630 to make the game, he won't go back to bed and thus neither will I!

+1. Yes, 9 or 10am is the sweet spot but this season we have a bunch of games in the 1-4pm time slots which I hate. At least with an 8 or 9am game the rest of the day is free.

This Saturday is a 2pm game. We won't skip it because DD made a commitment to the team, but I'd love to do something as a family and that timeframe is brutal.

Its true. Sports are taking over our lives and our kids lives and at some point we have to think why are we doing this?

Yeah 8am games on Saturday are a special type of torture. We have so many this season. 9am is fine. 10am is perfect! 11am to 1pm is OK. But omg I want a medal for the 8ams.

Worst was this past weekend when our game ended around 9am an incoming parent was loudly whining about "oh I hate these early games!" And her kid had the 915 game. Read the field lady.

Field time is limited, and you get what you get. That is just how it goes. There are pros and cons to the various times. DH and I take turns attending.

That's competitive archery though. Kids can take lessons and practice archery as a hobby at a local shooting range.
