Can confirm, fascinating! Do your jury duty, people, it’s like Law and Order: LIVE!
Move to Baltimore City. You’ll get more jury duty than you ever imagined possible.
True. Once I got called the first time, future calls were as soon as they could possibly call me in again — sometimes to the day. And there are multiple courts that will call you. I have to say that serving was interesting, and I was impressed by how seriously everyone took the process. Even when we disagreed during deliberations, everyone was respectful, and it was clear that people were earnestly doing their best to do the right thing —as they viewed and understood the evidence.
Sadly, Baltimore has a lot of trials that need massive jury pools. When people with personal connections to anyone involved in the trial, and personal experiences similar to issues raised in the trial are eliminated, the potential pool of jurors can shrink quickly.
