If you include WCAC over 9 seasons Gonzaga has the most Championships and SJC is next. No other team in the WCAC has won the championship over the past 10 years.

Actually none of this matters, only the 2024 season will be played in the spring

So top 4 (not in order) programs/recent 10 years performance are Prep, Landon, SJC, and Gonzaga with good Bullis and PVI teams from time to time?

Gonzaga will have a weak going forward, their underclass group is weak compared to other schools.

In the recent past, how are the other 4 teams in IAC besides the Montgomery Co. schools Prep, Landon, and Bullis? Is it typically a big dropoff in talent?

What about the WCAC Schools? Gonzaga and St. Johns typically dominate? What about Virginia schools like PVI and O'Connell?

MAC schools like Flint Hill and Potomac School are typically weak lacrosse schools?

Lots of kids who live in VA go to school in either MD or DC. Some schools, like Prep and Stone Ridge, even have nice charter buses to and from school every day for families who live in VA. If you want a good lacrosse program then your best best is a school in MD or DC. SSSA and Episcopal can be decent or even good depending on the year, but they don’t get the visibility that top lax schools like Prep, Landon, Bullis, Gonzaga, and SJC get.

WCAC has too loaded and the bottom is weak. O’Connel and Bishop Ireton are
Not as good as the top public schools. PVI swept Gonzaga last year and was the third best team in the DMV but are now with out a permanent coach.

2015-2023 is not 10 years.

2013 SSSA won the tournament over Landon.
2014 Prep won over Landon

As an aside, Bullis won their first ever IAC lax championship in 2016. They have won 4 championships total, all in the last seven years. Prior to that they were not very strong and it sounds like (if you believe what you read) their seven year run of success may be over.

There are only three other schools in the IAC. Episcopal and St. Stephen's in VA and St. Alban's in DC. In general, they are a step below the MD schools in terms of lacrosse success. St. Stephen's made the IAC tournament final a few times in the last 15 years, most recently in 2019, but I don't think they ever won it. Don't remember about Episcopal and St. Alban's.

Landon and Prep are historically the best teams in the IAC. Bullis has been good more recently. Episcopal and SSSA have both had good teams in the past and made runs for the Championship, but not often. STA is not good and have never really been good. They may have anywhere from 1-5 good players, but never enough to really make a run for the Championship. They are consistently in the bottom half of IAC, even when they had their best team in decades this past year. The only IAC championship STA has won is a co-championship in 2007.

It must annoy the STA crowd when they see a school like Landon have some of their marquee younger players commit to an Ivy League school.

Contrary to STA beliefs, there are lots if great athletes who also happen to be exceptional students in the classroom at other schools in the area.

Ivies care about grades and gpa, a lot.

They care about grades more than other non-Ivy schools, yes. But to say they care about grades and gpa "a lot" is a stretch.
