We really liked W & M when visiting schools. Thought it it was pretty and just a really nice size. But we are in MD. Ooof. Tuition too high for us.

There are quite a few excellent schools that do very poorly in the WSJ ranking (versus USNWR). For example, Tufts comes in at 287 and Tulane is at 354. Even some of the very solid big publics do very poorly -- Pitt, for example, at 307.
