The Union writ large may donate to the Democrats but I would estimate most members have nothing in common with the middle class. That the Union is threatening to strike at a time when our democracy is literally on the line tells me all I need to know.

Looks like a strike for Auto workers is likely in Fall.

how long will it be until Democrats and urban elites condemn the auto workers for the audacity of asking for a raise?

didn't take long for urban elites to condemn US workers. no sane US worker should ever vote democrat

Lol lol lol. These people are literally biting the hand that feeds. And yet they want more as if they’re something special. You’re trying to make the out to be blue collar heroes. Go listen to John Lennon, lol.

That might be extreme but I do think the American middle class consumer could do better should the big three’s production be offshored to places with reasonable labor costs.
I also suspect most blue color UAW types are typical Magas, people who couldn’t adjust to the new economy.

Toyota CEO Akio Toyota compensation - $6M

Is Mary Barra really worth $26M more?

GM's market cap is $45.34 Billion.

Toyota's market cap is $288.55 Billion.

Why is GM's CEO getting paid 4.8x times more than Toyota's CEO when Toyota as a company is worth 6.4x times more than GM?

The real question is why the CEO and other execs earn so much more than the average worker. The delta is a crime.

The time for unions has come and gone.

Because American corporate greed has spiraled out of control. It's long past due for being cut back down to size.

Start with the union. Sorry that that will interrupt flow of funding to the DNC, but sacrifices must be made.

There is not a single person on this planet who is actually worth an 8 digit (or more) corporate compensation package.

This has to be some kind of "creative financing" scam by Ford to get a big tax deduction.

Fords shouldn't even cost $60,000 to manufacture in the first place. Henry Ford would be rolling in his grave.

Just curious where you got this number.I don’t doubt it but would like to know.

It seems most of the manufacturers making this switch like the germans are losing boatloads right now in the expectation of a massive wave of consumer adoption. Im not seeing it. My next car will be a manual M4. Maybe i’ll buy electric in my old age 25 years from now.
