I have voted R in the past and may vote R in the future. Once this abortion issue is past. Every R candidate who swears fealty to banning abortion loses my vote and the large majority of American votes.
Weird that you “don’t want to talk about them”. I wonder why.

Single digits.
Compare that to jobs, schools, safety.
All of those can be related to choice. Choice is not a silo, it is related to almost every issue.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What percentage of “Independent suburban women” rank abortion as their only voting criteria?

Anonymous wrote:The funny thing about abortion and all this thread is that if you go by polling, Reps still won the clear majority of married women and married mothers. It's single women, especially childless single women, where the Democrats win in a blowout landslide. Staggeringly so. Which is a bit ironic.
All this talk about independent suburban women is meaningless. Married suburban women are already voting for the Republicans. So I'm not sure exactly how many independent suburban women there really are to make a difference. It's just one demographic group among many others. It's not 1995 anymore.
And, last but not least, going by all the polls, abortion rights is way down the list of priorities across the voting demographics.

I can see why liberal, inner city women would rank abortion #1. But not sure that independent suburban women would follow suit in the same percentages…..
