She’s rich.

Or Meghan Markle for goodness sakes. It seems all the women who landed the "most desirable" men did it while older than 35 and childless.

Of course. The richest man in the world is engaged to a woman in her 50s. Brad Pitt was dating that 40 something MIT professor who is childless, never married, until she recently married to a Rothschild or something. The dirty secret that men who frequent these forums to bash women dont want you to know is desirable, attractive, powerful men of whatever age usually date... women their own age. It's only the losers looking for validation who feel the need to date someone half their age to show off. Men with their ish together, the kind you actually WANT to be with, want a woman who is an equal/partner.

Yes.

Either family oriented and get going on that or knows no kids.

Lots of high achieving, educated women that age range in the coasts and large intl cities.

Lots of uneducated, jobless, welfare basket cases too but I doubt Op runs in those circles.

Divorced men who had kids already would be interested… but, any man who can have a younger woman will in fact, want the younger woman.

Not to mention if they still want children.

So, you are attractive to men 45-50 who have been through a divorce and already have children and who can’t do any better …

I think the question is who is this 36yo woman a catch to? Divorced single dad who doesn’t want more kids but is good looking and single. Rich old guy.

A never married successful good looking childless man who is mid thirties will have many options. You better be one hot smart woman to be able to win this guy over.

Was the surgeon actually handsome? How’d they meet?

He was a hand surgeon, in fact.

Anyone can be a catch for their person at any age.

That being said, according to common standards for a man you yourself would see as a catch, probably a 36 year old woman has to have good health, good temper, good social skills, good looks, good education, well paying job, good credit, good savings, no debt, no criminal record, no addiction, no dependents, compatible family, no kids or crazy ex.

I would be curious about the common standards for a 36 year old man to be seen as a catch. I don’t think the PP is wrong, I just can’t imagine it’s the same for men.

I'm glad someone else pointed this out. IME people that call themselves "a catch" are a lot older than 35 and tend to be narcissists because saying you're a catch implies they're lucky to date you.

Yes, she can be. Of course.

However, most women would have had a line of suitors in her twenties and early thirties. Why is she still single at 36?

If you are hot, smart and kind, I’m sure you could get married and have a few kids.

A 36 year old childless woman can be considered a catch by plenty of men. But since you're asking this question, you probably can't be. Insecurity is a turnoff.

A 36 year old childless woman is more of a catch than a 36 year old WITH children.

A good personality, well-groomed, fit, happy woman is a catch at any age.

Women can be a catch at 37 and 58. Don’t buy into the sexist Bs on this trashy site

Please don’t buy into the misogynistic tale that out only worth is our body and our fertility!

No one would dare suggest that of a man!

Women treat men like ATMs and yet you have the nerve to claim it's the fault of men that women are only worth their bodies and fertility? Take a good look in the mirror.

Women who treat men like ATMs and men who only value young bodies make perfect matches.

Most of us aren't like that though
