Men are so high maintenance, they exhaust me. I am straight but I can’t imagine ever again diverting so much of my time and energy and getting so little back by comparison. I definitely will never marry or live with a man again.

There's a reason the expression is, "a merry widow". Not widower.

honestly, other than sex, men are not really good company long-term.

I thought that during and for a long while after my divorce. Now, I am ready for marriage again and will welcome it when it comes.

Nope. I am glad I had the chance to be married and have my amazing children. And I am so happy to have this second chance, living a full and happy life with my kids (and future grandkids). They were the best thing to happen in the marriage.

My mom never dated after divorcing my dad, but she spent the next 50 years brooding and raging about him (meanwhile he moved on and married his AP). She was definitely not a happy person and her rage affected her health and her relationships with her kids and other people. I doubt she was the only unhappy divorced woman in the world.

Her sisters managed to stay married their whole lives and are still happy even though their health and their husbands health is declining.
