In what way? I do not share that sentiment at all so am trying to see what people object to about her
NP here. People I know who know her in real life say she's incredibly controlling. It's hard for me to like her knowing that. It's like when I find out an actor I like is a jerk, I can't like them anymore.

Funny. I think it hubris to think that one’s generation is so unique and special that other generations can’t understand it.
+1! I'm in my 30s, and lots of issues I have are the same ones my mom went through. The circumstances may be slightly different, but the core feelings/emotions/misunderstandings are all the same.

Well, she hates men for one. And she also refuses to admit shes wrong unless it's an oppurtunity for her to pat herself on the back.

Anonymous wrote:I stopped reading her when it became the "all MIL drama all the time" column. I get that it drives clicks but it's really boring to read the same grandmother/mil drama 2-3 times a week.
I was a Hax Super Fan in my 20s when she was still giving advice for 20-somethings. She was unlike any other advice columnist out there and it was amazing.
Now her column has gotten tiresome and there are much better columns out there, like Captain Awkward, at least when she feels like updating.

Also, is she a therapist or psychologist or something along those lines?
Now the comments are gold!
I've never found her arrogant - she seems to approach things with kid gloves. Amazing how we perceive her posts differently. I read for the comments. We all know what she is going to say just like in any advice column.
What is up with the people who seem to have a personal bone to pick with her? Weird. They need hobbies.
