Wait til 12 is what I would do. Take your six year old to Disney instead.

Agreed. We did Mundialito last March and it was a fantastic experience. Definitely want to be 11-13 to really enjoy it.

My son (10) just got an invite to go to Spain as well. He got it after a tournament. Apprarently they are walking about tournaments and picking out players to send invites to. It's very clever marketing and will dupe many parents into thinking their kid is special. But better to be on the list than not, I guess.

It's a soccer vacation...would be an amazing experience but nothing will come of it.

Did you guys go? Howuch wis this program?

We didn’t but plan on it around 11-12. I think it’s a great experience to see the city and we can add on nights to get to sevillle and Barcelona.

Hi - my son got in invite to go to Madrid. He is 12 y/o. He did go away camp last summer for about 11 days and had a couple of sleepovers but at our place. He doesn't know Spanish (only very basic). Did your son go on his own or with friends from his soccer team in the U.S.? Was the camp in Spanish and English? Actually how much Spanish does one need to know? Did you see him daily? Any recommendation Any negatives?

Thank you!

Has anyone look into just signing up at the camp without paying the expensive accomodations?

That’s ok by us. It’s for fun lol. I’m looking forward to it. It’s a quarter of what we spend for spring break trips so it’s a sweet deal for the experience to be independent

I think we understand it’s not pro recruiting. Some of us just want to know if it’s fun program to decide if we would have our kids join.

Plus who cares cares if it’s some profit thing if kids have fun. I’m happy to give to the said money grab lol
