It sounds like his last job was very toxic. Does he even want to work in the same field at the same level?
He may have to take lower pay to move into something less toxic and less demanding.

In my experience it is full time work to get a job. Most jobs are filled through contacts. Is he networking? Each night at dinner I'd start asking where he has interviews for the week and where he is applying.

The unemployment office has seminars to help people find work. (You don't have to be on unemployment to access these.)

SSI disability is very low money and is very difficult to get for mental health unless husband has attempted suicide several times etc.

Don't allow your house to be repossessed. At some time if he still does not appear to be looking list your house and move to something smaller.

Picking up a lower level job, part time would bring in some cash and probably help his self esteem, i.e. retail, restaurant work, uber etc. It
