Subject: Would you rather have a vacation house or one more child?
So let’s say you have three great kids. The devil wants to kill one of your kids in exchange for a nice vacation home. Would you do it?

Having a "vacation home" is about repetition and predictability. I'd rather stay on an exotic island one time and the penthouse of a NY hotel another. Who wants to go to the same place every year? DULL.

Just rent a vacation home so you could have both. Also, by renting you aren't stuck in one location.

My second kid has a lot of special needs. That made it so that we didn’t have a third, plus we did get a vacation house in part because he is so hard to travel anywhere else with.

Right now neither. Early on another child but we have one. I'd rather have a bigger paid off house but I'll keep the small paid off house and financial security. We could get a bigger house but I don't really want the upkeep or taxes/expenses.

Neither. We have one kid, which has been great for us, and we have no desire for a vacation home because there isn't one place we'd like to return to over and over.
