The problem with Scott is that he refuses to go after Trump directly. He won't even blame him for Jan 6..."I can only hold responsible the very people who threatened my life and the former president did not threaten my life." He's counting on some combination of Christie, a desperate DeSantis and the legal system to do his dirty work for him so he can pick up the MAGA voters. That won't work - if Scott has any hope of winning the nomination he needs to consolidate the anti-Trump voters before it's too late.
How does an anti-choice like Scott win in swing states? The mid terms showed this to be a critical issue for voters and it has only gotten worse. The GOP just if ignores this for some reason but that does not make it go away. Even Ohio had a big reaction to overturning roe and will put reporductive rights on the ballot, directly to the voters with hundreds of thousands more supportive signatures.than were required.

You're smoking crack if you think a GOP will win president. Dems may lose Senate but I'm even betting on them holding 50 seats.
There's weird stuff going on re Hunter Biden and FBI and IRS. It is not smelling good and I wouldn't be surprised if it blows up badly. You already get some indications reading between the lines in the left media.l that Democratic higher ups are concened. The partisans on here will pooh pooh it but the allegations are both serious and have enough credibility. And more and more stuff is slowly emerging as time passes.
I am not betting any money on who will be elected president in 2024. Both Biden and Trump bring enormous baggage with them. Which is why most people across the board do not want either of them.

You people threaten this every election. Just go already!

Scott doesn’t have a nuclear family
This isn’t Europe
That was my thought exactly. I can't see the "family values" party electing an unmarried man. If he were a Dem, they'd suggest he was gay. It will be quite the conundrum for them if Scott gains traction. Plus Americans have a great interest in First Ladies (and, apparently, the quality of First Couple marriages, if the recent thread on presidential marriages is an indicator), unlike in many other countries.
For a state as small and conservative as South Carolina, it’s very odd both of their senators are gay
They aren't.
Being unmarried does not make one gay.
