A genetic relationship doesn't make someone "family". Why, in this day and age, do people cling to such anachronisms?

I was so confused by that link. I was like Beyonce's dad had an affair with a woman who is addicted to gnomes? Why doesn't she stop spending money on all those gnomes, instead of grifting on Beyonce?

According to the article, the father has never even met this kid. The mom apparently lost her child support lawsuit against him, so I guess she’s trying this as a cash grab instead?

If the Mother lost her child support lawsuit - then it is likely that paternity could not be established.

So maybe Matthew is not even his biological Father.

If the child was adopted, they are no longer your legal 1/2 siblings and you shouldn't have contact except if the mother or child wants it. They are your biological 1/2 siblings.

The issue probably isn't the brother but the mother. My kids have no relationship with their 1/2 siblings because of the mother.

You’re not required to contact someone who is trying to grift you, even if you’re related. There’s no way of having a relationship with this kid that doesn’t involve the cash-grabby mistress.

This is actually a REALLY GOOD POINT. Her brother is too young for her to directly reach out to. Ironically, it could be the mom that makes Beyonce stay far away....

How does she feel now that her son is living with the consequences of her actions? Maybe she should engage in some reflection on her role in this rather than trying to reach Beyoncé via tabloids.

Also if you read what this woman is saying the context makes it even more obvious why Beyonce doesn’t talk to her or her son. She says that Matthew was spending a lot of money on her (at this time he worked with Beyonce) but then his finances were audited and he stopped. Aka he was misappropriating money from Beyonce and spending at least some of it on her.
