Aw, I love Sydney. I find her to be a fairly fully formed character and i care what happens to her.

I really don’t like Sydney either. I am not sure if it’s the actress’ delivery of lines or the way the character is written. But man was that episode where Richie stages just some fantastic television. I hope he wins an Emmy for that role.

Did anyone else sort of wish Carmy and Sydney would get together, even though she would probably get sick of him fairly quickly?

I do not like Claire.

That’s a no from me. I loved both, but I don’t think anyone who didn’t like the first season would like the second. The first was more conventional and the second season has much more risk taking, experimenting with tempo, pacing - you have to know and love the characters to enjoy it. At least I think.

I did not like the first season but really loved the second.

At the 7 Fishes Dinner, Cicero tells Rich and his pregnant partner (can’t recall her name) that his Dad took him for choc covered bananas as a kid. He saw a choc covered banana that day and it reminded him of his Dad. He notes that little things can spark poignant memories even years after someone has passed away. It was a sweet vulnerable morning for “Unc” which Rich harkened back to on opening night in an act of service

So, I LOVED this show. All season one, and almost all of season two. We accidentally stopped one episode short and I thought it was the perfect ended. SPOILER...






Hand on door, about to find out what would happen next. Hard work in. Potential but no guarantee of success. But the last episode seemed to bring up so much it couldn't address (I guess season 3 hopeful) and not all of it added or really made sense, to me. Still loved the show. Just think they almost ended it perfectly but were afraid to do so. (Then again, I had the same feeling about BEEF when I thought him buying the property and her refinding love in episode 6 or 7 would have been a great wrap up!)
